Instructions for Combination Lock with Letters

1 - Turn dial 2 full turns to the right (clockwise) to clear lock.
2 - Continue turning right and go to first combination*.
3 - Turn to the left (counterclockwise) PAST the second
     combination, then continue to the left to the second combination.
4 - Turn to the right to the third combination (do not go past it).
5 - Turn key to the left to open.
6 - Push door firmly to close (you may have to
     turn the key to the left to close).

*If the combination shows 2 letters together,
place pointer between them.


 
 
  • The number 674 on the glass of this box is the original.
  • This bank was handcrafted from a genuine post office box door manufactured by American Device in 1961.  This information is stamped on the top inside of the door.
  • The body of the bank is walnut with the coin slot set in an oval of curly maple inlaid in the top.
